If U are appointed as Prime Minister!

Ever since I have been tweeting and in discussion with friends or go through general discussions/comments on twitter, I have seen people literally abusing Dr. Manmohan Singh. He is blamed for being face of the Nehru-Gandhi Dynasty, for being a puppet and for being a remote controlled Prime Minister. Though almost everyone agrees that as an individual, Dr. Singh is honest but he is blamed for being unable to prevent scam after scam being exposed in UPA- II.

Though I personally agree that many scams have been unearthed and corruption rules the roost, a thought struck my mind that what if any one of us is appointed as Prime Minister in his place and what different we would do, what he couldnt?

I request you and all other readers of this post to kindly give your feedback, your personal opinion that "What would U do if U are elected as a Prime Minister, in place of Dr. Manmohan Singh?" How will U eradicate corruption? Eradicating corruption is the first step towards taking every positive step and making it a success. It because of corrupt at the top that all policies fail and we dont get the desired results.

While giving your reply, you have to consider every other condition, situation as the same. Same cabinet of ministers, same UPA MPs and same situation nation-wide.

Kindly tweet your reply at @gurpreetsinghin or e-mail your detailed reply at singh.gurpreetonline@gmail.com. Thanks a lot to you all in advance for sparing time to read this post and for replying.

  1. Good question. My response is my book, Breaking Free of Nehru. The last chapter is a specific action plan about what I'd do if I became PM of India.

  2. Dr.ManMohan Singh will be known in the history of world as the greatest Prime Minister. He will be on top of Margaret Thatcher and Churchil also. No one has written right things about him. I can support above statements with lots of reason. Without even meeting him, I can write a great book on him.

    Then why I don't do?

I believe in Lord Krishna's maxim, "Start nothing on your own" "Give up all desires even to do good". "Just stay in a wishless plalace"
    .
And in this palace of Lord Krishna I live.

    1. You may be right dear Haresh Raichura. But he doesn't work like SINGH IS KING. Why he is in the control of others and why his decisions are influenced by others???
He is the PM of India and should be work like that not like a RUBBER STAMP.

  4. Its not about Manmohan Singh the personality but its about Manmohan Singh the leader. His leadership is weak, therefore his administration is indecisive on major issues. He must have resolve to promote strong Ombudsman law which will strengthen all government departments and eradicate practice that encourage corrupt behaviour. For far too long unfair practice in public life has become acceptable, it's the leader who must lead by example.

    1. I attended NDC course in 1992 alongwith Gen Vij & AM Krishnaswamy. Manmohan Singh delivered a lecture on Hawala Market & corruption and gave his analysis as to how to eradicate this evil.During the question hour, I asked him a question after reciting a couplet.Nasheman ke lut jaane ka ghum hota to kya ghum tha; Yahan to lootne walon ne gulshan loot dala hai.The question was;The corruption starts from you and filters down.By u I do not mean Manmohan singh but the Politician. In such a scenario I do not think you would be able to curtail or eradicate corruption. His reply was;In the given scenario when I am surrounded by all corrupt politicians, I have two options,One, to take them head on in which case they are so many and will eliminate me and my job would not be done. In the second case, i become one of them and slowly and steadily clip their wings and curtail the opportunities to earned money illegally thereby shall be able to bring down corruption heavily if not eliminate it. I was convinced and in the rest of my career was guided by his advice.Over a period I find he kept using this method quietly and exposing all others while sitting quiet and laughing at all of them. But at times I get a feeling that they have overwhelmed him and tarnished his good image and he has become helpless. As they say nothing succeeds like success, only time will tell who is the winner.

  5. Honestly, not interested to be PM of India with same team of Ministers. The Team needs change and instead of a coalition Govt, need a National Govt. Should be able to Select my own team (for that matter even if PM Manmohan Singh is allowed to select his own Team he may run the country better.

  6. Current Govt. is run by only 5-6 union ministers & most of the decisions taken by these ministers were not in the favour of public which hurts the feelings of common peoples. No doubt that Dr. Manmohan Singh is a great personality but he has done one thing wrong that he allows these ministers to take such unconstitutional decisions just to save their own post.

  7. State need to focus to provide safety, freedom, dignity, food , shelter and education for the most deprived, exploited , poorest sujects only as it covers every citizen. As per National Nutrition Bureau 50% of ST and 60% of SC have BMI below 18.5.WHO states that if 40% of a community has BMI below 18.5 than it is in the state of Famine. India treats such most deprived(who constitute majority of India's population) as 2nd grade animals whose share is shamelessly looted even by a few affluent SC/ST and OBC likes of Paswan,Mayawati, Laloo, Mulayam... and SC/ST elite IAS,IPS etc which surely is a crime and must be done away with. The Economist(??)PM says Muslims (and not such deprived of SC/ST community)have the first right on national resources due to greed of their Consolidated VOTE BANK unmindful of such remarks creating hatred against Muslims for no fault of them.

Government need not put hurdles in commoner's efforts to strive and excel the way Nehruvian quota/ permit Raj did.Unfortunately every good thing in India happened in spite of CON rulers either due to external factors or Supreme court.World bank BIG Bamboo in 1990 forced Narsimha Rao to bury Nehruvian stupidity which was named "Liberalisation" and non politico World bank choice Manmohan Singh was credited by CON govrnment. Narsimha Rao did due to fear of powerful CON Mafia to save own skin.Manmohan Singh has criminally applied brakes on Liberalisation as there is no World Bank Bamboo now on Indian government.
After enforcing CNG in Delhi now SC directs all schools to ensure recruitment of poorest ,deprived Indians in every school under RTE.It is bliss!SC recognises such abused ,exploited poor also as EQUAL citizens when Indian rulers have been exploiting and abusing them while playing dirty insincere politics with slogans like "Garibi Hatao".
Even in capital of India Delhi poor children are brutally abused, exploited as poorly paid half fed labour and girl children are even pushed into brutal child prostitution.
It is fist responsibility of rulers to provide safety, dignity ,food, shelter and education to such Indians.
    Rest is secondary.
Let every one bloom fully with out any fear.It is the sole responsibility of government and not playing dirty VOTE BANK politics and looting nation with one after the another scam as the present CON rulers are shamelessly doing.
